Rebel Jones is a multifaceted creative: a media creative director, host, documentarian, candle artisan, poet, performer, and mother. Monique Rebel Jones and I attended the same high school, separated by just one graduating year. We shared teachers, mentors, and creative inspirations but never crossed paths during those years. Seven years after my graduation, we finally met on the set of a film pilot produced by one of our former teachers. Rebel’s infant daughter starred in the project, and by the end of the day, we had exchanged contact information, sparking a partnership that would grow over the years.

Within a year, Rebel reached out to collaborate on the second season of Vicrina Aberdeen’s Vicrina en Vogue fashion web series. This marked the beginning of our creative collaborations. From Living in the Process interviews to branding consultation for Rebel’s candle-making business, Solar Rituals, we’ve worked on numerous projects, blending media production with storytelling and artistic synergy.
